I hate bullies, and I hate blowhards. You can imagine my disdain for bully blowhards.
We had one who was the President of the United States for a while and is trying to be the world’s most powerful man again. We also have one who is the world’s richest man. Maybe there’s a pattern here — what do I know?
Anyway, Elon Musk and his Yes Men/Women at Twitter (sorry-not-sorry, it’ll be a loooooooong time before it’s “X” for me) are suing an association of advertisers for colluding to not spend their ad dollars on Twitter. This after Elon told them to spend their money elsewhere if they didn’t like his platform and the new rules he implemented after buying it.
See, the problem with so-called bully blowhards is that their words almost always come back around to bite them in the ass.
I think most of them have some psychological disorder (psychopath? sociopath? I forget which is which.) But they shout first and think second. They never consider consequences of their words or actions because, well frankly, their riches and privilege have gotten them out of every thorny situation they’ve ever been in.
So here we are with Twitter today, losing money hand-over-fist, and the owner telling people to take their money elsewhere if they don’t like him, and then turning to litigation when they do exactly as he told them to do.
Grow up, Elon. And grow up, Donald. If you tell me to leave and I leave, don’t get mad at me for leaving.
